Chinese wedding invitation wording etiquette
Traditional Chinese wedding invitations use a special format.
They are read from top to down, right to left.
They are also versed so that the bride and groom's parents are the official hosts.
Here is an example:
Take note of following etiquette:
Specify the date of the wedding in both gregorian/solar and Chinese/lunar calendar form.
List the day of the week in parenthesis.
Precede the bride and groom's names with their birth order among siblings. For example:
Eldest son
Second daughter
Youngest son
The characters for "welcome" should be in larger font than rest of text.
We Print Bilingual Invitations
All our invitations support bilingual format. For some designs, such as
Mandarin, Embossed Happiness,
Felicity, Celebration,
Dew
and Silhouette, you can print the Chinese text on a second insert to
be included in the invitation ensemble. In the design of Color of Breeze,
English and Chinese can be placed on two seperate panels of the z-fold.
